Author's note - This part of our research represents another part of England that we were exploring for the first time. The information summarised in these web pages comes from three main sources - the Suffolk County Record Office at Bury St. Edmunds, the Derbyshire County Record Office at Matlock and from several fellow "Abbott searchers" contacted through the Genes Reunited website. The annual subscription rate for this website is modest but represents an excellent investment.
